I heard nothing more and received no call back. Kelly explained that she would call them to sort it out and then call me back. This, obviously, came as a great surprise! I telephoned Kelly to ask about this and was told categorically, by her, that the New Homes Group were wrong. Later that day, the New Homes Group telephoned us with the news that they were terminating our reservation with immediate effect. Kelly explained to us that there was no negotiation to be had around this and that Monday would be our final day of marketing. Whilst this came as no great surprise, we were disappointed at the lack of a review that we had been told would come first. Three and a half weeks after that, Kelly contacted us to let us know that we had until the following Monday to sell or our reservation would be terminated. The New Homes Group were instructed by Dandara to sell our home and, after they made contact, ensured our credentials and organised valuations our house went onto the market a week later. Surely an essential part of the job? We were told that we would have four weeks to sell and then there would be a review. Another sign of things to come was Kelly getting the price of the house wrong. After a lot of chasing, Kelly finally gave us the completion date in Feb 2022 and suggested we use Assisted Move.
Our original plan was to put our house on the market, but we didn’t want to do it without knowing when the new house would be ready. Kelly was always impossible to get hold of and never returned our calls. This should have been an indicator of things to come. In late 2021 we decided to purchase a house on the St Michaels Park development and made contact with Kelly, the sales rep on site.
